So we finally picked up this book after months and months of nagging from our friends and oh boy did we wish to have picked it up earlier!
Leigh Bardugo artfully brings to life fictional characters facing real life struggles and troubles which makes the duology all the more interesting. Even the politics and matters of state discussed in the book were engrossing.
One of the best components of the book was the romance, it was indistinct but breathtaking. Bardugo broke all the stereotypes of modern YA love stories, where ‘love heals all’, by taking a more rational approach to a love story.
