Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

A playscript portraying the next generation of wizards and zooming into the life of Albus Severus Potter, second son to the famous Harry Potter, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child fails to entice our imaginations as much as the original series did, albeit, us being crazy to the core Potterheads, it did keep us excited for it's release.

It was nice to see a different world, in which the Harry, Hermione, Ronald, Ginny, Draco and others that we grew up alongside, were carrying out their roles as parents, how the fame for some and hate for some plays a pivotal role in their children's lives at Hogwarts and how the images of last generation enemies have gradually evolved into those of next generation best friends.

Apart from that, the script seemed a bit bland, possibly owing to the lack of a war in future or the absence of dangerous enemies, which proved to be a drastic disappointment for Harry Potter fanatics like us who were overall expecting a story line at par with the original series. Added to that, the boundaries to the magic used that J K Rowling had set herself had been surpassed in this book.

There was definitely a hype for it before publication, but upon release it failed to deliver to quite high expectations.
